Charaki Series (2022)

My walk started from Charaki beach, where I passed by the dry riverbed and grasslands. Climbing over the uneven rocky steps to arrive at the Byzantine-era remains of the Feraklos Castle which overlook the coastline. It's one of the most spiritual walking experiences I've had. The endless deep ocean with it’s beautiful blue hues as far as the eye can see. The emptiness of the castle remains and the harshness of the extreme dryland from intense sun exposure create an extreme sense of solitude.
