Voice in the Mirror, 2016

This painting is for the Voice in the Mirror Exhibition in Berlin. This exhibition was organised by Berlin based English independent curator, Juliette Wallace. This was an exhibition combined musicians and painters. She had invited four painters to listen anonymous music albums in the isolated space. Then painters should write down all sorts of visual elements and sentences that were associated with the melody and style of the music on sheets of paper. Then Juliette would review all the sheets to decide which painter should paint a painting for specific musician’s album.
My piece of work was responded to Thee Oh Sees music band’s Floating Coffin Album (2013). Check here to listen.
